Donna Jeanette Eggleston, age 95 of Omaha, formerly of Ansley, died April 24, 2012, at Brookstone Meadows in Omaha where she has lived the past three
years. She was born Dec. 5, 1916, in Washington, Iowa, to Arthur and Monica (Shelby) Carpenter. She grew up in Comstock, and spent most of her life in Ansley on her husband's family farm.
She was preceded in death by husband Clarence Eggleston; grandson Reed Eggleston; brothers, Charles, Arthur, Walter and Harry Carpenter; sisters, Virginia Pierce, Elizabeth Carpenter and Ruth Tisher.
She is survived by children, Patricia (Roger) Doane of Alamosa, Colo., Robert (Linda) Eggleston of Loveland, Colo., Dennis (Helen) Eggleston of Omaha, and C. Edward (Georgena) Eggleston of Portland, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Forsburg and Helen Hamilton; sister-in-law, Wilma Carpenter; brother-in-law, Lloyd Eggleston.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 30, 2012, at 11 am at First Baptist Church in Ansley, with visitation beginning one hour before the service. Interment will be in the Ansley Cemetery; in lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to First Baptist Church.
