Glendy appointed to school board

May 18, 2012

In a special meeting of the Broken Bow Board of Education Wednesday, David Glendy was appointed to fill the seat vacated by the resignation of Don Davis, effective April 30. There are two years left on that term.

Glendy was one of seven applicants who interviewed for the board position, and it took three votes on three different candidates for the board to finally reach a majority decision. Glendy received a unanimous vote of approval from the five board members - Michelle Zlomke, Matthew Haumont, Tracy Popp, John Evans and Ken Myers.

Glendy will be sworn in at the regular school board meeting Monday evening.

The full story of this special meeting will appear in the May 24 issue of the Custer County Chief.
