Great day for a ride

October 18, 2010

The 12th Annual 4-H Foundation Benefit Trail Ride in the Nebraska National Forest near Halsey took place the weekend of Oct. 9 and 10. The weather Saturday was perfect, as more than 100 horseback riders and wagon riders enjoyed the day in the Forest. Dewey Teel of Neligh, and Gary Staffer from O’Neil, were again the guides that led the riders through the trees and over the hills of some of the 22,000 acres of hand planted trees. By Saturday’s end, many riders felt like they had traveled it all.
