Howard "Sonny" Turner, 81

Howard "Sonny" Turner, age 81 of Arnold, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, at the Good Samaritan Care Home in Callaway.
Graveside services were Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at the Custer Center Cemetery west of Broken Bow with the Rev. Don Schauda officiating. Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow was in charge of arrangements.
Howard C. "Sonny" Turner was born June 30, 1930, at Milburn, to Howard L. and Mary J. (Gilligan) Turner. He attended school at Milburn and Anselmo.
October 19, 1951, he was married to Lois Wilson at Broken Bow. The couple lived at Milburn for many years. In 1979 they moved to Arnold.
As a young man Sonny broke many horses. He enjoyed hunting, antiques, and visiting with people.
Sonny is survived by his wife, Lois of North Platte; son, Jack Turner of Arnold; daughter-in-law, Lori Turner of North Platte; four grandchildren, Brad (Kari) Turner, Patti Turner, Dan (Jamie) Turner, and Amy (Josh) Allen; and seven great-grandchildren, Shyenne, Zane and Hailey Turner, Emma and Eli Turner, and Tyrus and Kaden Allen.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Donna Johnston.
