John "Jack" O'Neill, 75

John J. “Jack” O’Neill, 75 of Gilbert, Ariz., passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born June 7, 1936, in Anselmo to Josephine and George O’Neill, John had three brothers; Jim, Gary and Tom.
He moved his family to Arizona in 1968, where he worked for Valley National Bank. He enjoyed golf and was a long-time member of the Mesa Country Club.
John contributed generously to professional organizations and community groups - among them, the HoHoKams where he was past president serving as the Big Ho.
John’s compassion, love of life and consideration for others made him a person that was a great friend and someone everybody loved.
He was the beloved husband of 24 years of Ann (Lima); loving father of Suzanne (Larry) Davis, Kimberly Ann O’Neill, and devoted step-father to Lance Lorenzo, Anthony (Tanya) Lorenzo and Vinny (Danielle) Lorenzo; grandfather to John (Denese) Simons, Ryan Simons, Marelle Grimes, Dillon Grimes, Alyssa Lorenzo, Vincent Lorenzo, Mckenzie Lorenzo and Taylor Lorenz. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Jennie Lima, and many loving brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
His funeral service was celebrated Dec. 15, 2011, in Mesa, Ariz. Those wishing to make donations may do so to Hospice of the Valley or Mesa HoHoKam in his memory. Meldrum Mortuary handled the arrangements.
