Loren Phillip Anderson, 85, of Arnold, died Saturday, July 26, at Golden LivingCenter in Broken Bow.

Services were Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at the United Methodist Church in Arnold with Pastor Andrew Black officiating. Burial with military honors was at the Arnold Cemetery.

Loren was born in a farm home in Tiffan, Custer County, to Jesse and Marvel Anderson.

April 14, 1948, he married Maryann Anderson in Seneca, Kansas; Maryann died in 1995.

Survivors include Cheryl and her husband, John, of Shelton; Allen and his wife, Sally, of Norfolk; Melvin and his wife, Peggy, of Merna; Robert and his wife, Shari, of Cedar Bluffs, Kan.; Donald and his wife, Linda, of Grand View, Mo.; Patricia of Hershey; Sue Ellen and husband, Randy, of North Platte; John and his wife, Elaine, of North Platte; Lori and husband, Bruce, of Rushville; Lana of Sutherland; Lorna and husband, Jim, of North Platte; a brother, Dale Anderson; and sisters-in-law, Iris Anderson and Shirley Anderson; 29 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Loren was a veteran. He was a farmer in Pine Canyon until 1975 and moved to Arnold. He enjoyed visiting with all of his grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the family or the donor’s choice.
