Lorraine Glause, 72

Lorraine Saner Glause, 72 of Broken Bow, entered into Heaven Nov. 1, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 27, 1940, in Crawford, to Harley and Laura (Carruth) Saner and was the youngest of seven children.
Lorraine's nickname "Toby" was given to her by her dad at a young age. Lorraine and her family moved to a ranch by Dunning when she was 2-years-old, where she attended country school. Lorraine then attended school in Dunning where she met lifelong friends. During Lorraine's childhood she enjoyed spending time outdoors playing with her cousins.
Always a hard worker, Lorraine worked many years as a bookkeeper for McMullen Propane in Dunning. After continuing her education at Mid-Plains Community College, she became a care giver. Lorraine worked at Mid Nebraska Individual Services working with special needs adults. She then worked at Sandhills Manor for 17 years, spending the last 14 years transporting patients to and from their appointments.
Lorraine was a very social person. She liked to garage sale, enjoyed watching the Huskers, traveling, reading, and loved to attend her grandchildren's events. Lorraine also enjoyed helping organize the Saner Family Reunions and really looked forward to socializing and serving her homemade ice cream.
A loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, Lorraine is survived by husband, Rolly; daughters, Carol Fenske (Greg) of Sargent, Cindy Coffman (Patrick) of Dunning, Janet Jacobsen (Dr. John R.) of Geneva and Judy Mulligan (Mark) of Valentine; 12 grandchildren, Courtney Campbell (Mike), Christie Ryker, Jed Fenske, Guy Fenske, Tug Coffman, Teri Smith (Luke), Tylee Coffman, Jenny Jacobsen, Katie Allison (Michael), Cassidy Mulligan, Chancey Mulligan and Caleb Mulligan; 11 great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Grayson, Bryson and Clemson Campbell, Quincey Ryker, Christian, Colton, Keen and Tyke Coffman, Cazen and Quade Smith. She is also survived by siblings Ben, Don, and Jim Saner, DeLilah Zimmerman and Doris Sierks and their families.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents and oldest sister, Hazel Duryea.
Funeral services were Nov. 3, 2012, at the Sandhills Community Church in Dunning with the Rev. Lee Wonch officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Sandhills Community Church in Dunning or the God's Cool Pre-School in Sargent.
Govier Brothers Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
