Luella Ballard, 75

Luella Ballard, age 75 of Broken Bow, died at her home Oct. 2, 2011. Graveside funeral services will be today, Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at the Broken Bow Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Winn and Bob Woodward officiating. Interment will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery with Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the family.
Mrs. Ballard was born June 25, 1936, at Keen, Neb., to Clyde and Amelia (Petersen) Applegarth. She grew up in Minden and Axtell before moving to Weissert. She married Don Ballard June 17, 1956, at Weissert. They made their home at Broken Bow. Louella worked at various places in Broken Bow.
Don died in 1990. Louella continued to make her home in Broken Bow.
She was a member of Faith Bible Fellowship.
Louella enjoyed growing her flowers, and especially loved her grandson Brandon.
Survivors include her daughter, Jolea Woracek of Broken Bow; grandson, Brandon Woracek of Broken Bow; two brothers, Alan Applegarth of Waverly, and Delmer Applegarth of Broken Bow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; four sisters, Mabel, Betty, Virginia and Joann.
