Luessa Wilkinson Burkhartsmeyer passed away June 22, 2014, at Bettendorf,Iowa. Services were at St. Mary's Catholic Church, June 27t with burial at Oakland Cemetery, Sac City, Iowa.

Luessa was born June 23, 1917, to Lyman and Henrietta (Frimel) Wilkinson, in Vernal, Utah. Luessa first attended school in Grand Island, and graduated from high school in Brewster.

She worked in Montana where she met and married Frank Burkhartsmeyer. They lived in Montana, Kingman, Ariz., Hastings, Rapid City, S.D,. and Sac City, Iowa.

Survivors include daughter, Georgia C. Green; brother, Lyman Wilkinson; brother-in-law, Robert Paulsen; sister, Georgia Bishel; grandchildren, Catherine (Zachary) Young, and Andrew Green; great-grandchildren, Beatrise Luessa and Ellanore Ikie Young; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Lucy Paulsen, and son-in-law, Rev. Edward Green.

Arrangements were by Faber and Otteman Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Sac City, Iowa.
