June 20, 2013

Broken Bow committed nine errors and suffered a number of mental lapses as Holdrege was able to cruise to a 20-7 victory over the Indians Wednesday night.

Chad Christensen was the leading RBI man with two as he went 1-2 from the plate with a two-RBI single. Jake McCormick went 2-4 with a single and a double and finished the game with one RBI. Garret Ulmer, Preston Sanchez and Seth Quackenbush also recorded RBIs on the night.

Caleb Dodge and McCormick were the leading run scorers with two each.

By the official scorebook according to gamechanger.ios, 11 of Holdrege's 20 runs were earned as Sanchez, Hunter Campbell and Jake McCormick pitched just over two innings each and combined for just three strikeouts and allowed 11 walks and 12 hits.

The senior team will have plenty of time to think about this one as their next game is June 25 on the road against McCook at 8 p.m.
