Michael Sittler, 53

Michael Joseph Sittler was born Jan. 11, 1958, at the Broken Bow Community Hospital and left this life Aug. 10, 2011, at the Avera McKenna Hospice House in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Michael graduated from Anselmo-Merna High School with the class of 1976. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising hogs and rodeos. He liked to joke and have a good time.
He resided in South Dakota at the time of his death, and was employed by New Fashion Pork, Inc.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Joseph Sittler and Betty Jane (Sells) Sittler; grandparents, Joe and Sarah Sittler, and Virgil and Mary Sells; and his aunt and uncle, Leo and Mary Embree.
Michael is survived by two daughters, Gini (Tony) Corbin, and Amy (Mark) Chasek; six granddaughters; two sisters, Linda (Howard) Gaffney, and Sandra (Robert) Schall; one aunt, Shirley (Dick) Moore; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and one very faithful companion, his dog Rockie.
Interment was at Dale Cemetery in Merna with a family service being officiated by Father Jim Hunt.
