New pool is right on schedule

The Broken Bow Aquatic Center is taking shape. The water slide is in and the play features have arrived. According to City Manager Tony Tolstedt, construction is ahead of schedule. “We are on track to open at the start of the 2012 swim season.”
A $3,250,000 bond for the project was approved in May 2010 by a 508 to 504 vote. On April 4, 2011, city officials broke ground. The project has been nearly a decade in planning.
