Norma Cornelison, 90

Norma Louise (Drake) Cornelison was born Oct. 13, 1920, on a ranch north of Almeria, to James P. and Mary R. (Hess) Drake. She went to meet her Savior May 3, 2011.
She attended school at Knobby Ridge, spending most of her younger adult life in the Taylor-Sargent area. She was active in the Assembly of God church in Taylor where she played the piano. She then moved to Oregon where she met and married Ivan Henry (Hank) Cornelison in 1960.
They lived for a time in Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico and Oregon before moving to Apache Jct., Arizona where they had a cafe with their own dinner music (singing, organ, and guitars) until they retired. They then moved back to Sargent and later to Ansley where Hank passed away Dec. 6, 2009. Norma remained there until her death.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Lyle, Archie, and Roland; four sisters, Pearl Bunner-Ash, Vesta Phillips-Rider, Lola Goos and Hazel Nelson; her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Living to survive her is her sister, Barbara Blauvelt of Thedford, and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were May 6, at Madison Square Cemetery west of Taylor with Don Schauda officiating. Soloist was Bob Drake of Comstock.
