Richard Reed Wattles, 81

Richard Reed (Dick) Wattles of Longmont, Colo., died Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at his home. He was 81.
Dick was born Feb. 11, 1930, in Kearney, and grew up in Broken Bow.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jacelin (Jackie) Jean Wattles of Longmont; daughters, Holly Ann Starr of Georgetown, Texas, and Lisa Leigh Thompson (and husband Mark) of Brentwood, N.H.; grandchildren, Cadence Eileen Starr and Justin Andrew Thompson. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Murton Leroy and Ruby Elizabeth (Cason) Wattles; siblings, Gordon L. Wattles and Myla Jean (Susie) Laughlin; and daughter, Penni Sue Wattles.
Dick served his country with pride and was the proprietor of Pat’s Booterie of Boulder for 43 years. He will be greatly missed.
