Shirley Ann Vincent, 79 of Sargent, died Thursday June 21, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Broken Bow. Services were Monday, June 25, at the Rhoad Funeral Chapel in Sargent, with the Rev. Don Schauda officiating. Burial was at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Sargent.
Shirley Ann Vincent was born to Willard and Eva (Love) Hurlbert Nov. 10, 1935, at Burwell, and passed away June 21, 2012. at the Golden Living Center in Broken Bow. She lived her childhood in the Taylor/Kent area and also in the Mason City area.
April 5, 1952, she married David Vincent at Broken Bow and they lived on a farm northwest of Sargent where they raised their family. They raised four children; David, Shirley, Don and Ron. After the death of her husband she lived with her son, Don, until a few months ago where she entered the Golden Living Center. Shirley enjoyed farm life and was always close to family and freinds. She spent countless hours with her grandchildren and later helping her mother at O'Neill.
She is survived by her chilldren, David (Connie), Shirley (Charlie) Olsen, Don and Ron; 13 grandchilldren, David (Angela) Vincent, Amy (Dan) Wenquist, Karen (Mike) Connely, of Broken Bow, Lee Vincent, Tammy (Sam) Brown of Sargent, Judy (Jasen) Landers of Cario, Neal (Jamie) Olson of Wahoo, Sylvia (Larry) Bottorf of Sargent, Sarah of Salina , Kan., Larry Vincent of Sargent, Salley Vincent of Broken Bow, Amanda (Curtis) Hilgren of Lincoln, Katie (Justin) LaSever of Ansley; 23 great-grandchildren; one sister in-law of Elkhorn; neices, nephews and a host of relatives and freinds.
