Three area teams reach subdistrict final games

Three area volleyball teams remain in the hunt for a trip to the State Tournament in Grand Island next weekend. In Broken Bow, Ansley and Sargent will meet at 7 p.m. tonight with the winner to advance to the Class D2-4 District Final. Top seed, Ansley advanced to the subdistrict final with a 3-0 win over North Loup-Scotia who had eliminated Loup County 3-0 earlier. The Sargent Lady Bulldogs eliminated Arcadia in a five set thriller 3-2 to advance.
In the Class D2-11 subdistrict at Thedford, Mullen advanced to the final game with a 3-0 win over Arthur County. They will meet Cody-Kilgore who slipped past Hyannis 3-1.

C2-10: Ravenna def. South Loup, 3-0
D1-11: Maxwell def. Sandhills/Thedford, 3-2
D2-7: Litchfield def. Pleasanton, 3-0; Wilcox-Hildreth def. SEM, 3-2; Loomis def. Litchfield, 3-0
D2-9: Eustis-Farnam def. Anselmo-Merna, 3-2
