This week we throw back to the March 13, 1986 issue of the Custer County Chief.
KSC Nebraskats
Music from the Big Band Era, the Beatles and even commercials will be performed as part of the Kearney State College Nebraskats' spring tour program, Tuesday through Thursday of next week.
Under the direction of Annabell Zikmund, the 16-voice swing choir will perform at schools in Loup City, Ord and Burwell on Tuesday; here and both North Platte High Schools, Wednsday; and Gothenburg, Cozad and Elm Creed, Thursday. All performances are open to the public at no charge.
Two selections on the program were arranged by KSC music students. John Dart of Aurora arranged "God Bless the U.S.A.," and Jerry Layher of North Platte arranged the special medley entitled "Commercials!"
Membership in the Nebraskats is by competitive audition. The vocalists include Maria Clouse of Callaway, a soprano.
