In conjunction with National Severe Weather Awareness Week, the National Weather Service will be conducting a state-wide tornado test tomorrow (March 26).

1. Two *TEST* Tornado Watches will be issued Wednesday, March 26,at approximately 10am CDT. One ** TEST** Tornado Watch will be issued for the entire state of Iowa, and another **TEST** Tornado Watch will cover all of Nebraska. These test watches will be issued in support of Severe Weather Awareness activities and will remain in effect for about 1 hour, until 11am CDT, Wednesday, March 26, 2014.

In the event of severe weather or potential severe weather on the day of the test, these test watches may be postponed.

Severe Weather Awareness Week provides the National Weather Service with the opportunity to test communication systems and get life saving safety information out to the public.
