Vera Nicholson, 93
Vera Nicholson, 93, formerly of Broken Bow, passed away May 21, 2011, at the Colorado State Veteran's Nursing Home in Rifle, Colo.
Vera was born April 23, 1918, in Ord, to Frank and Ella (Hansen) Witt. She married Gus Nicholson Aug. 7, 1946, in Elkton, Md.
Vera is survived by her son, Jim Nicholson of Tennessee; brother, Russell Witt of Missouri; grandchildren Gail Cunningham, James Nichol-son, John (Deb) Nicholson and David (Alice) Nicholson;; great-grandchildren, Katharina and Jacob Nicholson and Erin Poole.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gus; sisters, Fern and Rhoda; and brothers, Donald & Woodrow.
Cremation has taken place and graveside services will be Friday, May 27, at 2 p.m. at the Ord Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Associa-tion or Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home in Rifle, Colo.
