Vernon V. Rohde, 88, of Ozark, Mo., and formerly of Miller, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo. Funeral services were Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013 at the Miller Community Building in Miller, with Pastor Marty Robbins officiating. Interment was at the Armada Cemetery in Miller, with military rites provided by the Miller American Legion Post 351 and the Nebraska National Guard Military Honors Team. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney were in charge of arrangements.
He was born Vernon Victor Rohde March 11, 1925, in Mason City, to Frank and Bertha (Bramer) Rohde.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Bertha Rohde of Ansley; sister, Almeta Robbins of Ozark, Mo., and a son, Victor Rohde of Ozark, Mo.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Joyann Rohde of Ozark, Mo.; three children, Tom Rohde and wife Lauri of Springfield, Mo., Kim Rohde of Ozark, Mo., and Holly Rohde of Kansas City, Kan.; sister, Berneta Casteel of Valentine; four grandchildren, Heathor and husband Kenton Uthe of Camden-ton, Mo., Shelby and husband David Thomas of New Bloomfield, Mo., Pryce Rohde of Ozark, Mo., and Evan Rohde of Ozark, Mo.; and six great grandchildren, Kelly, Emma and Kasen Uthe of Camdenton, Mo., and Peityn, Emory and Roen Thomas of New Bloomfield, Mo.
