Student donates benches PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 18 May 2009

A Broken Bow student hopes to benefit children served by CEDARS through a school wood project.
Brad Giffin assembled and painted several small wooden children’s benches provided by VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) AmeriCorps.
Life Skills teacher, Ann Kujath, said she got the benches from her father-in-law, who worked with a Fairbury agency to provide the benches.
The bench project, Kujath said, is designed to benefit families and children in crisis. That is why Giffin chose to donate the benches to CEDARS of Central Nebraska, Kujath said.
Giffin presented the benches to CEDARS area director Suellen Koepke last week.
