“Will Rogers” performed nightly to open evening events at Chautauqua last week in Broken Bow. In character, Doug Watson entertained with stories, tricks and bits of history before being joined on stage by other actor historians.
    Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce Director Denise Russell said the event brought around 200 people into the big tent each of the four nights of performances. Chautauqua plans began in November and were executed by a number of committees.
“It was a lot of work, but we had fantastic committees,” Russell said.
