Custer County EMTs and first responders were in for a special treat at their quarterly Mutual Aid meeting last week in Arnold. Arrangements were made with Kearney’s Good Samaritan Hospital to land the Life Flight helicopter near the community, giving local emergency personnel a first-hand opportunity to ask questions of the flight crew, and gain information regarding the role local EMS plays in emergency response. Arnold, Broken Bow, Oconto, Callaway and Merna departments were represented at the training meeting.
