The stage is set for the rematch many were hoping to see. The Broken Bow Indians remain unbeaten, winning their first round District playoff game against Mitchell last Thursday by a final score of 54-14. Meanwhile, rival Gothenburg improved their record to 7-1, defeating Minden 24-0 in their first round game. In this week's second round, the Swedes will travel to Indian territory Wednesday with kickoff set for 6 p.m. at Mark Russell Field. The two met in regular season play Oct. 2 in Gothenburg, with Broken Bow getting the win by one point in the final seconds of the game. This week both teams will lay it all on the line to see which team moves on, and which team will see their season come to an end.

Another highly anticipated rematch involves two area teams in Class D2. Mullen improved their record to 8-1, defeating Lynch 52-16 Thursday. The Broncos will next host the Sargent Bulldogs, who defeated Ansley in the opening round 40-18. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. MT in Mullen.

In other first round playoff results:

•Callaway finished their season at 4-5, losing to Maxwell 40-22 in Class D1.

•Sumner-Eddyville-Miller also ended their season with a 4-5 record, losing to Hayes Center 45-12 in Class D2.

•Anselmo-Merna improved to 8-1, defeating Brady 54-18. A/M advances to the second round where they will host 7-2 Chambers Wednesday at 3 p.m.
