Henry Nuxoll, 53, Comstock, was arraigned in Custer County Court Monday and charged with a Class III Felony, issuing bad checks. Kingsbury Electronics, On Stage Services, Todd Trobee, Direct Buy, Duane Ash, Ash Concessions and All American Sewer are the known recipients of the checks, totaling an estimated $100,000. Nuxoll is the one of the originators and a current promoter of the summer Comstock Windmill and Rock Festivals and according to the Nebraska Liquor Commission, statutes prohibit anyone with a felony conviction from holding a liquor license. Nuxoll is listed at the commission as being a 25 percent shareholder in the corporation that manages the summer festivals. Nuxoll’s case has been bound over to District Court with the next hearing scheduled for Jan. 17 at 9:30 am. A Class III Felony carries a maximum punishment of 20 years in prison and/or a $25,000 fine. There is no minimum. The checks in question were issued between June 12, 2007 and July 22, 2007. Nuxoll was released Monday on a PR (personal recognizance) bond.
