WaveValene (Harris) Garska, 91, of Taylor died May 1, 2008, at Jennie Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow. Services were May 5, 2008, at the Rhoad Funeral Home in Sargent with Fred Davis of the Worldwide Church of God officiating. Burial was at Madison Square Cemetery.
   
WaveValene was born May 8, 1916, at Sargent, to Aaron and Gladys (Williams) Harris.
    She graduated from Loup County High School in 1934. She married Harold “Pep” Garska, March 27, 1937, in Thedford.
    Wave was a housewife and worked beside her husband through their 71 years of marriage.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
    Wave is survived by her husband, Harold “Pep” Garska; brothers, Jim Harris of Sargent and Jack Harris of Taylor; son Ronald of Bridgeport; daughters, Sharon (Marvin) Freeman of Seneca and Elaine (David) Eberle of Minden; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
