Vivian L. Hickey, 76

Vivian Lois Hickey, daughter of Beulah and Gillis Herrin, pased away peacefully April 14, 2014, at the age of 76, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Vivian was born July 3, 1937, in Somerset, Kent., and was a longtime resident of Boulder, Colo. She was a wife, mother and grandmother who was proud to be a homemaker.

Vivian loved children, cats and books, and was a much-celebrated cook.

Vivian was preceded in death by her youngest son, Robert Gregory Michael.

She is survived by her loving husband, Louis Hickey; her eldest son, Rodney (Lois) Michael of Torrance, Calif.; granddaughters, Danya and Shayna Michael, both of Torrance, Calif.; sisters, Virginia Bullock of Somerset, Kent, Joyce (Robert) Hansford of Dayton, Ohio, and Delores (Wendell) Meece of Somerset, Kent.

Funeral services were April 19, 2014, at Darrell Howe Mortuary in Lafayette. Howe Mortuary and Creamation services handled arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alzheimer’s Association,, in Vivian’s memory.
