Welcome 1st baby of 2011!

January 14, 2011

Jacob and Kammi Lange of Ord welcomed their new son into the world Sunday, Jan. 9, and Jennie Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow welcomed the first baby born at the facility in 2011.
Walker Clemens Lange arrived at 2:07 a.m. Sunday morning, weighing 8 pounds 5 1/2 ounces, and measuring 20 1/2 inches. He was due to arrive Jan. 15, but Kammi says all of her babies have come a little early.
“With the storm coming we were glad to get here when we did,” Kammi said.
Walker went home from the hospital Tuesday, and joined siblings, Wesley - 9, Josie - 6, William - 4, and Olivia - 2.
As the first baby of 2011 at JMMMC, Walker and his parents will receive a number of gifts from local businesses. Those include gift certificates to several local businesses, including City Cafe, Go Figure Fitness, The Kloset, Holcomb Pharmacy, Hairtique, Tumbleweed Cafe and Alco. Walker will also receive a free examination at Central Nebraska Medical Clinic, PC, and a $50 savings bond from Nebraska State Bank & Trust. The family will receive a complimentary 1-year subscription to the Custer County Chief.
Congratulations Lange family!
