YOUNG COYOTES NEED TO FILL VARSITY ROLES AFTER LOSING EIGHT SENIORS
MERNA -- After losing eight seniors from last year’s 12-8 team, the Anselmo-Merna Coyotes look to rebuild a starting core with little varsity action. Juniors Cole Geiser, Joseph Christen and Greggory Christen lead a young group that played together throughout the junior varsity season a year ago.
Third year coach Paul Christen says that his team will have to work hard and play together to have a successful season. The Coyotes will also need to stay healthy and will have to improve each game to compete in the Loup Valley Conference this season.
