Winter Sports Preview: Broken Bow Indians

BROKEN BOW -- The Broken Bow Indians return a good nucleus of wrestlers that will fill nearly all of the weight classes this season. The team is loaded with seniors and juniors that saw a significant amount of time on the mats last season.
The Indians return just one state qualifier from last year’s team. Matt Denson, at 130 pounds, has qualified for the state meet the past to years.
Seniors Devin O’Brien, 160 pounds, and Derek McCormick, 189 pounds were close to qualifying but came up short at districts. Also seeing action on the mats this season will be seniors Tanner Jackson, 215 and Hadley Storms, 140 along with juniors Austin Roach at 125, Wilson Baker at 135, Jay Brass at 145 and Jake McCormick at 171. Sophomore Zack Sanchez, 125 also worked hard this summer.
