Memorial graveside services with military honors for Duane Wooters, age 73, of Napa, Calif., formerly of Broken Bow will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 21, 2010, at the Broken Bow Cemetery with the Rev. Rick Johnson officiating. Duane Laverne Wooters, 73, passed away at the Veteran's Home of California in Yountville, Calif., July 26, 2010. Duane was born in Broken Bow to Lester and Ruby (Thiemann) Wooters. As a child, Duane loved playing baseball, writing and practicing ventriloquism. He also spent time working as a projectionist at the local movie theater in his home town. |

Betty Shultz, age 86, of Broken Bow, died Aug. 12, 2010, at the Golden LivingCenter in Broken Bow. Betty Shultz was born at Comstock April 7, 1924, to Howard and Esther (White) Ducker. Betty married Ben Pomplun March 17, 1944. Ben served overseas in 1944. In 1946, they started farming. Ben passed away in 1967. In November of 1970 Betty married Leo Shultz and they made their home in Merna. |

John Milburn Lambert, the youngest son of Ray and Grace Zion Lambert, passed away peacefully at the Deseret Care Center in Smith Center, Kan., Aug. 6, 2010, following a long battle with Parkinson's and Prostrate Cancer. Born March 4, 1922, in Smith Center, Kan., Milburn farmed and ranched in Custer County for most of his life returning to Smith Center, Kan., in 1993. Horses were a central part of Milburn's life as a rodeo contestant, rancher, 4-H Leader, owner and trainer of race horses. He enjoyed raising, training and working with horses and all of the people that he met in the horse business. |

Bronson Darville, 17 of Arcadia, died Aug. 3, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Bronson S. Darville was born April 23, 1993, at Norfolk to Carl and Margo (Barker) Darville. He attended elementary school in Comstock. In 2003 he moved to Arcadia and attended school there. He enjoyed basketball, football, one act, speech and band. He was very kind and energetic and was uplifting to everyone he touched. |
