Dennis Keith Zeigler, 68 of Broken Bow, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010.
He was born July 12, 1944, in Broken Bow to Keith and Lillian (Ferguson) Zeigler. he spent most of his life in Broken Bow, graduating in 1962.
March 16, 1966, he married Ruby Davy in Moline, Ill. To this union three children were born; Darcy, Deana and Dustin.
Denny worked road construction until joining the Navy in 1965. He served in the Navy four and a half years, after which they returned to Broken Bow to raise their family.
He loved his family, watching his grandkids, and fishing. He was a kind, generous and patient man with a big heart. He was a man who didn’t see things in black and white; the fact is he kind of hovered in the gray area.
Denny wasn’t burdened with the social status society limits people to these days. He would help anyone from any walk of life. He was blessed that way, and we were blessed to have him in our lives to set that example.
He loved to visit and did not know a stranger. If he did, it was only for a short time span. He could fix anything and loved a good challenge. He was a good listener and wasn’t judgmental about anything. He saw the good in everyone.
He was loved by many, and will be missed by more than he could ever imagine.
