Delores Yvonne Huhman, age 80 of Ansley, died June 8, 2011, at the Jennie Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow. Memorial services were June 11, at Govier Brothers Chapel with Father Jim Hunt officiating. Inurnment was at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Operation Christmas Child.
Delores Yvonne Huhman was born Nov. 13, 1930, at Eureka Valley, to Martin Nathaniel and Josephine (Leonard) Elliott. Delores was a mother who put her six children first. Delores married Anthony "Bud" Huhman in August 1976, who she enjoyed her life with until his death in September 2005. Delores supported her family through 30 years of work at Becton-Dickinson.
She enjoyed dancing, laughing, and a good time. She also enjoyed getting together with her girlfriends for coffee and talking for hours, whether she was playing practical jokes or telling old stories she loved leaving people with a smile. Her sense of humor carried her through the good times and the bad. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mart and Josephine (Leonard) Elliott; her husband, Anthony Huhman; a sister, Mildred and husband Jim McGinn, and a brother, LaVerne.
She is survived by her six children, Mike (Kathy) Holley of Lincoln, Joe (Mindy) Holley of North Platte, Suzy (Mike) Farwell of Humbolt, Patty (John) Stunkel of Ansley, Cindy (Roger) Christy of Greeley, Colo., and Mary Lou (Mike) Watkins of Cortland;. one brother, Larry (Becky) Elliott; sister-in-law, Marsha Elliott; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, cousins and her dear friend Joann Rhoades.
