Phyllis Burnidene Dobesh, age 92, passed peacefully in her sleep at Saint Joseph Hospital in Tacoma, Wash., Sunday, May 29, 2011.
She was born in Broken Bow, to Ralph and Merle Rusmisell April 23, 1919.
She is survived by eight children, Robert (Bob) Dobesh of Tacoma, Wash., Phyllis Craig of Virginia Beach, Virg., Mervin (Leroy) of Arlington, Wash., Wanda (Roni) of Sturgis, S.D., Arleen Bauer of Poulsbo, Wash., Arval Dobesh of Spanaway, Wash., Gary Dobesh of Arlington, Wash., and Tony Dobesh of Running Spring, Calif. She is also survived by her siblings, Norris Rusmisell of Kearney, William (Bill) Rusmisell of Chula Vista, Calif., Madeline Rusmisell of Fallbrook, Calif.
Burnidene graduated from Mason City High School in 1937. She moved from Nebraska in 1949. She lived in Arizona for five years and in California 52 years. She moved to Washington four years ago to live near some of her children. She will be buried in Mason City this summer.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Rene Murish.
