*Adams Land and Cattle Co. will be doubling its production, but not at its current cattle feeding sites.
Adams Land & Cattle Company (ALCC) publicly announced today its plans to again double the size of its business.
Since inception in 1973, ALCC has become one of the premier cattle feeders in the state of Nebraska, by focusing on innovative approaches and research driven production models. ALCC looks to build upon this foundation and has set its sights on becoming one of the major leaders and largest cattle feeders in the nation.
Capitalizing on their unique production model through strategic partnerships with contract feeders, ALCC doubled the number of cattle on feed over the last few years. Now, with an ever increasing demand for meat protein worldwide, ALCC believes it has a near term opportunity to double production again through external cattle facilities and feeders throughout Nebraska and other states.
“We are committed to capitalizing on this opportunity and providing a great future for our employees and the community. Our growth plans provide the necessary balance between our historical and future presence and commitment to Broken Bow, while leveraging technology and relationships beyond Broken Bow to meet this increasing demand,” explained ALCC President, Barry Fox.
As part of this growth, ALCC will continue to expand its current network of external feeders. This expansion will result in the creation of several new jobs within the company. Many new positions, related to cattle production and ongoing research, will be located in Broken Bow. The company will also be establishing an administrative office in Omaha to support new growth opportunities.
“I am extremely proud of our employees. Our success is directly attributed to the hard work and dedication of our people and the support of our community. It is exciting to see this area thriving and we are thrilled to be a part of its continued development.” stated Mr. Fox.
Jerry Adams, ALCC CEO, also shared his enthusiasm for the direction of the company and the new opportunities.
“My brother Bill, ALCC Chairman, and I have never been more excited about the business. We are very proud of our team and what that team has built. The future potential for the company has never looked brighter. We look forward to building on this foundation and continuing to build a business of which Broken Bow and the entire state of Nebraska can be proud”.
