Delores Irene Clouse, 74, or Arnold passed away at the Golden LivingCenter in Broken Bow, Tuesday, June 28, 2011. She was born Oct. 25, 1936, in Broken Bow, to Dollie Bertha Irene (Timmons) and Glen Lewis Middleton.
She grew up in Oconto, Callaway, Arnold and Stapleton and received her education in Oconto, Callaway and Arnold.
Delores and Charles (Neb) Clouse, Jr. were united in marriage Aug. 2, 1954, in Chadron, after which the couple lived on a ranch in Stapleton and in Arnold, where she worked at the Model Cafe and Archie’s Cafe as a waitress.
Her favorite pastimes were fishing and reading newspapers until she became blind.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Dollie Middleton; daughter, Cindy Lou Schultz; son, Glen Alan; infant twin sisters; and infant brother.
Survivors include her husband, Charles (Neb) Clouse Jr.; sons, Richard Lynn (Dawn) Clouse, and Randy Charles (Donna) Clouse; daughter Marilyn Delores Hancock (Terry); brother Duane Glen Middleton (Jan); sisters, Maxine Evelyn Wonch and Joyce Elaine (Ross) Roberts; 11 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were July 2 at the McCain Cemetery, west of Arnold with the Pastor Victor Karg officiating. Memorials may go to the Delores Clouse Memorial Fund, c/o Box 332, Arnold, NE 69120.
