Mildred Maxine Belders, age 91, of Broken Bow died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at the Jennie Melham Hospital in Broken Bow.
Mildred was born Nov. 14, 1919, in Union Valley west of Broken Bow. She was the daughter of Perry F. and Laura Bell (Jenkins) Sloggett. Mildred attended school in Merna, and graduated in the class of 1938.
Mildred worked for United Air Lines of Cheyenne, Wyo. for about two years. In April 1945, she started working for J. M. McDonald Co. at Broken Bow and retired in July 1977. She worked for McDonald Co. for more than 32 years.
Mildred married Harold Belders Aug. 31, 1953, at Broken Bow. They resided on a ranch 10 miles north of Broken Bow. In March 1968, they moved in to Broken Bow.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Harold in 1993.
She is survived by several cousins.
Graveside memorial funeral services were Friday, Aug. 12, at the Broken Bow Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Wheatly officiating. Inurnment was in the Broken Bow Cemetery with Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of arrangements.
