Nancy Vohland, age 74 of Broken Bow, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at her home in Broken Bow.
A memorial service for Nancy will be Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Broken Bow with the Rev. Sharon Ruzicka officiating. A registry book may be signed at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Memorials are suggested to the Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
Nancy Lee Vohland was born Dec. 19, 1937, to CA and Doris (Traphagan) Owen. Nancy grew up in Broken Bow and graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1955. She attended Hastings College.
September 29, 1957, she was married to Vance Vohland. They made their home in Broken Bow.
Nancy was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She loved to play bridge, and through the years belonged to many bridge clubs. Nancy was always concerned about the care of animals. She liked to study Custer County History. Nancy always enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Vance of Broken Bow; daughter, Susan (Willard) Withers of Colorado Springs, Colo.; son, Dan Vohland of Kearney; daughter, Sally (Ron) Leifert of Lincoln; six grandchildren, Caleb and Madison Withers, Brittany Vohland, Lorin, Logan, and Emma Leifert; and a sister-in-law, Ann Owen of Broken Bow.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Vohland, and a brother, Tom Owen.
