Shane John Peck was born Nov. 5, 1970, at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha and went to be with the Lord Sept. 19, 2012, at the age of 41, at peace, and set free.
At a young age Shane trusted Christ as his Savior. He was active in his Sonlife youth group, and had fond memories of their mission trips.
Shane spent three years in Seattle and loved that area and in many ways called it home.
Shane loved kids and working in Bible school.
He had a passion for books and learning and spent countless hours at the library. He attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He was planning on taking an EMT class and hoped to work on a hospital rescue team.
Shane loved all animals and was especially fond of James and Amber's lovable pet pit bull, "Bubba". He loved taking him on walks.
Shane enjoyed watching the Nebraska football and volleyball teams. His favorite saying was "Go Big Red"!
Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with them!
Shane was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, John and Edna Peck, and Grandpa Claude Hays.
He is survived by his father and mother, John and Judy Peck; brothers, Joel and his wife Heather, Mark and his wife Karol, and sister Amber and her husband James; grandma, Loretta Hays; nephews, Ethan and Aidan, and niece, Arabella.
Memorials may be made to the Maranatha Bible Camp.
