Heather Proskocil of Kearney and Austin Hendrickson of Kearney were married Oct. 20, 2012, at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kearney. Parents of the couple are Dave and Tammy Hendrickson of Broken Bow, and Don and Deb Proskocil of Ord
The bride and groom reside in Kearney. They both work and attend school full time. They will both graduate in May 2013 from University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Heather will have a degree in family studies with a minor in early childhood education. She is employed at Kidtopia Childcare in Kearney. She is involved with Student Support Services, UNK Council on Family Relations and is a member of the Thompson Scholar Learning Community.
Austin will have a degree in information technology, with emphasis in system administration & security with a minor in information networking and telecommunications. Austin is an information technology administrator at Valley Medical Management Services LLC., Kearney, Austin is involved as president of Association of Computing Machinery and is Leader of the Information Network Leadership Organization and is a member of the Thompson Scholars Learning Community.
Austin is also a member of the UNK Loper Track and Field Team as a pole vaulter, for the indoor season and outdoor seasons
Grandparents of the couple are Allen and Delores Hendrickson of Broken Bow and Rosalie McKnight of Broken Bow (formerly of Comstock), Evelyn Proskocil of Ord, and Norma Joseph of Grand Island, and the late Jerry Joseph.
Heather wore a full length white gown with pearl accents, and carried a bouquet of white calla lilies. The wedding colors were jade and purple. The bridesmaids wore jade colored dresses and carried purple flowers.
The guys wore black and white tuxedos with Jade or purple accents. The ring bearer and flower girls matched the bride and groom.
The wedding party included: Sarah Gorecki, Cortney Hendrickson, Amber Schulen-berg, Lindsey English, Janell Pokorny, Bailey McKay, Jeremy Gorecki, Dusty Hendrickson, Dan Proskocil, Tyler Branstiter, Dustin Varland, Logan Klinkman. Ring bearer was Braxton Anderson. Flower girls were Quinnlyn Gorecki and Boston Klanecky.
The music was by Dan Proskocil and Amber Schulenberg. Ushers were Cory Hendrickson, Troy Hayes, Brad Wardyn, Aaron Gorecki, Conner Doyle and Brock Blankenship.
