Patrick Joseph "Joe" Tully journeyed home to his maker Nov. 16, 2012. He now joins the love of his life - his wife Frances, and their son Gale.
Services were held at the Holy Apostles Catholic Church in Meridian, Idaho Dec. 7, 2012. Burial followed at Cloverdale Memorial Park.
Joe was born Oct. 21, 1915, in Arnold, to Patrick and Isabelle (Belle Schmidt). He grew up on the farm working along side his father for many years. He graduated from Oconto High School in 1934. He continued to farm and work with his father until he met and married Frances Thomas April 23, 1941. They were blessed with one son, Patrick Gaylord "Gale".
After living and working in Nebraska for some time they moved to Wyoming to work on his aunt and uncle's ranch. Boise Idaho would be their next home. While there Joe and Frances started their own flooring business and later an antique business. Upon retirement they purchased a motor home and traveled throughout the United States. They both loved that time of their lives. They made the Boise-Meridian area their final home.
Joe was a lifetime honorary member of the B.P.O.E. Elks and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Holy Name Society, and the Parish Council at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Meridian. He also served as an Usher and Eucharistic Minister throughout his lifetime.
In 2004, Joe fulfilled a life- long dream to go to Ireland, the land of his father's birth. While there he went into County Cavan to research his family history.
Those remaining to remember Joe and celebrate his life are two grandchildren, Patrick and Lisa; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Agnes Hempstead, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Those to greet him in heaven were his wife; his son; his parents; his second mother Katherine "Kate" (Sherlock) Tully; brothers, Don and James Tully, and sisters Katherine Dickinson, Mary Jungles, and Anna Hunt.
