Marlene J. Samp-LeMon, 72, died suddenly Wednes-day, May 22, 2013, at her home in Fort Wayne, Ind. She worked as a Field Rep at the Chamber of Commerce. “Everyone who met her, loved her.” Always the expressive, vivacious picture of a true lady, this classy, elegant, artistic, creative, optimistic, fun, silly ‘hostess with the mostest’ adored her family - especially the three grandkids: Ariana and Ethan Pundt (11 and 8) and Carter LeMon (17 months).
Marlene was a doting mother, playful grandmother and loving friend. She was also a master pianist, divine baker, and a superb gardener. Musically gifted, she could play any instrument – proving it on a regular basis.
The Nebraska farm-girl in her was never far from the surface as she could sew, cook, fix, paint, problem-solve, or apply her own tourniquet. Most importantly, she passionately loved Jesus and trusted Him with a childlike faith. This legacy is the wealth in those that survive her - daughter, Renee LeMon (Larry) Pundt, and son, Brad (Julie) LeMon - will treasure.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother.
Marlene was a member of First Assembly of Fort Wayne where a Memorial for her will be celebrated at 2 pm, Saturday, June15, Chaplain Larry Pundt, US Army, and Pastor Ron Hawkins officiating; 1400 W. Washington Center Road.
