Kay Coleen Waddington was born Aug. 21, 1936, to McKinley and Elsie (Sanders) Waddington. She passed peacefully at her home in South Beach, Ore., May 22, 2013.
Kay graduated from high school in Anselmo, and later from nursing school in Hastings. She continued her nursing career in the Los Angeles, Calif., area.
Kay was married to John Forsyth, then later divorced. She later married Gume Baiz Feb. 24, 1979. They lived in Los Angeles until moving to South Beach, Ore., after they both retired.
Kay loved animals and was happy doing volunteer work at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Later, she volunteered at the Wolfe Sanctuary at Tidewater Oregon. Kay grew to love the white wolves and was devoted to their preservation. It was her request that those wishing to honor her memory send memorials to the White Wolfe Sanctuary, P.O. Box 65, Tidewater, OR 97390.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Gume; her parents; two brothers, Bud and Dwight Waddington; and her sister, Pearl Waddington Crable.
Survivors include daughter-in-law, Dianne McGee; grandson, Michael Gume McGee; granddaughter, Meloni McGee; six great-grandchildren; a host of family and friends, and her beloved dogs, Honey Girl and Bear.
Private family services will be at a later date with inurnment at The White Wolfe Sanctuary.
