Hazel Mae Roberts was born Dec. 1, 1921, on a farm in Wayne County to Harry and Mary (Grier) Lessman.
She was baptized in February of 1922 at the First Presbyterian Church in Wayne where she was a life-long member.
She graduated from Laurel High School.
Hazel married Don Beckenhauer Aug.16, 1945. To this union two sons were born, Tom and Terry.
Hazel married Eldin B. Roberts Dec.18, 1976. The couple farmed near Wayne.
Hazel is survived by her husband, Eldin; sons, Tom (Kari) Beckenhauer of Lincoln and Terry (Sheryl) Beckenhauer of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Tara (Greg) Williams and Katie (Brent) Custer of Broken Bow and Tim (Leah) Beckenhauer of Kearney; eight great-grandchildren; extended family, Dave (Sherry) Roberts of Houston, Texas, Dan (Jan) Roberts of Fremont, John (Barb) Roberts of Omaha, and Joe (Sheryl) Roberts of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Louisa Lessman of Lincoln and Rita Lessman of Colorado Springs, Colo.; nieces and nephews.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Don Beckenhauer in 1975; and three brothers.

Services were Sat., July 5 at the First Presbyterian Church in Wayne.
Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne was in charge of arrangements.
