Three area teams remain in the state football playoffs and will hit the road for quarterfinal games Tuesday night. Mullen, Sargent and South Loup cruised to impressive victories with all three winning by large margins.
In the Class D2 playoff, Mullen was a 40-14 winner over Brady and will travel to Loomis for a 6 p.m. game Tuesday night. Loomis was a 19-18 winner over West No. 2 seed St. Mary's.
Sargent easily won the battle of the Bulldog's 58-7. Sargent will head to Eustis to play the West No. 1 seed Eustis-Farnam Knights at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
In Class D1, South Loup keeps rolling along with a 48-20 win over Kenesaw. The Bobcats will now meet West No. 2 seed Overton in Overton at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
