Broken Bow City Council welcomes new council member Dec. 22 2015

At the Broken Bow City Council meeting Dec. 22, 2015, Neal Neth was sworn as the newest council member. Neth represents the West Ward.

The City Council voted to approve Kyle Petersen to the Library Board. "He's going to be very good," said Jason White, City Attorney. Broken Bow Library Directory Joan Birnie said "I appreciate his willingness to serve...I'm looking forward to working with Kyle."

The City Council voted to approve a Memorandum of Understanding for the future purchase of the Elks Lodge located at 625 S. 10th Ave. The site is being considered for the location of a possible new Fire Hall.

The City Council also voted to approve resolutions authorizing payments to JEO Consulting and Myers Construction for work completed through December 11, 2015, on 5th Ave (Hwy 2 to Memorial), for 2015 Downtown Improvements and 2014 Downtown Improvements.

Andy Holland, Fire and EMS Coordinator for Broken Bow, was asked to speak about the house burn that took place last week.

The next council meeting is Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at 12:00 noon.
