An eventful day was had by retiring CEO/President of Jennie M. Melham Medical Center (JMMMMC) Mike Steckler and the new CEO Veronica Schmidt. According to Steckler, a freon leak located at the southwest side of the medical center caused a mild "inconvenience" for the daily routine at the hospital. "It only affected five to six rooms on the west side," Steckler said. "It is UPA (United Productions of America) rated safe freon and the firemen will blow it out (with a fan) so we can get the heating and cooling repaired." Schmidt added that services will be relocated to another area so that they are uninterrupted. Broken Bow Fire Department responded to the incident.
