Plea agreement in Estergard case, Sentencing Aug. 23

A plea agreement has been reached in the Custer County District Court case State v. Kelli Estergard.

Estergard pleaded guilty to Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition $1,500-$5,000, a Class IV felony in exchange for the count being amended from Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition $1,500 or more, a Class III felony. The second count, Tampering with Physical Evidence was dropped.

According to attorneys in the case Estergard agreed to pay full restitution prior to today (7/19/2018) and has done so.

Estergard is represented by Chris Wickham. The state is represented by Ryan Swaroff, Special Deputy Custer County Attorney, State of Nebraska, in the Eighth Judicial District.

Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 23.
