Winter Weather Advisory for north central, panhandle and west central Nebraska Monday-Tuesday

A Winter Weather Advisory in effect Monday, Feb. 19, 6 p.m. CST until Tuesday Feb. 20, 12 p.m. CST for the following counties in Nebraska: Keya Paha-Boyd-Brown-Rock-Holt-Garden-Grant-Hooker-Thomas-
Including the cities of Springview, Spencer, Butte, Lynch, Ainsworth, Bassett, Rose, Oneill, Atkinson, Oshkosh, Lewellen, Hyannis, Mullen, Thedford, and Halsey

Snow is expected with total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches. A light glaze of ice is possible at the onset of the winter weather.

Plan on slippery road conditions, including during the morning commute on Tuesday. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times. The cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as
little as 30 minutes.
